The MAC AGM is open to team coaches and advisors of member teams only. If you are interested in becoming a member and would like to attend for information only, please advise the MAC Office in advance. Non-members are not eligible to vote on any agenda items.

Please submit any requested agenda items to info@cheermanitoba.ca by May 10, 2013.

Coaches will also be able to pick up Prairie Provincial Cheerleading Championships DVDs from for their teams at this meeting.

ASSISTANCE FUND SET UP FOR CHEERLEADERS' FAMILY WHO LOST HOME IN HOUSE FIRE

After an exciting Provincial Cheerleading Championship weekend, we were saddened to learn that the Charleswood home, damaged by a fire last Sunday afternoon, belonged to a family whose daughters are members of the Oak Park Raiders and Westdale Wildcats school cheerleading teams.

This was devastating news, as the family lost their home, most of their belongings, and most tragically, the family pets in the fire. As the cheerleading community in Manitoba is small, this tragedy hits all of us very close to home.

We have created a fund to raise money for the family as they begin to replace living essentials and rebuild their lives.

If you would like to show your support, we encourage you to make a donation at any CIBC branch to account 00917 5328934. This is a deposit only account that has been set-up specifically for the family.

It's that time of year again! The 2013 Prairie Provincial Championships are fast approaching and it's time to submit your nominations for athlete and coach of the year awards, which will be handed out at the Annual MAC Awards Banquet on April 6, 2013.

RED RIVER HS SUBZERO CHEER INVITATIONAL

What: | An invitational for ALL cheer teams – JV, Varsity, and Collegiate
When | Saturday; March 2nd, 2013
Where | Red River High School – 2211 17th Ave S; Grand Forks, ND; 58201
Cost | Teams: $18 per participant for team divisions; $12 per stunt group division (up to 5 participants per group & 2 groups/school); $5 per participant for jump off division (up to 3 participants per school)
Spectators | $8 adult, $4 Student. Ages 4 and under free
Times | Team registration starts at 8:30am Doors open at 11:00am Competition starts at 12:00 pm
Registration Deadline | Registration is due Friday; February 15, 2013. Late entries will be accepted until Friday; February 22, 2013 with a late fee of $50.

WE'RE OFFERING A BID TO WSCC 2013 IN WALT DISNEY WORLD!

Exciting news! We have the opportunity to offer a bid to the World School Cheerleading Championships (WSCC), being held in February 2013 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL!

UCA rep and our judge, Shannon O'Connor, has been asked by Karl Olson, UCA Vice President of International Affairs, to oversee our Icebreaker competition on December 9 and offer a bid to one HIGH SCHOOL team he feels qualifies. This is a huge opportunity so practice hard this week!

Karl Olson has also invited MAC to send a rep down to attend and observe this event. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to our high school teams, and are honoured to have been asked to participate in such a large-scale event.

MAC EXECUTIVE POSITION
Production Coordinator & Team Liaison

Election to the Executive will occur for the position of Production Coordinator & Team Liaison. This person will work closely with the MAC President to oversee planning for all MAC events and will be responsible for organizing and recruiting required volunteers and staff. This person will act as the volunteer supervisor and
oversee logistics throughout each event. They will also work within the community to promote our organization, acquire new sponsors as well as maintain agreements with our existing sponsors. He/she should demonstrate good organizational and leadership skills, be outgoing, motivated, and work well in a team setting. Experience in community relations and event planning is an asset.

	POWER ELITE CHEER Power Elite Cheer is a newly formed competitive cheerleading team. As of right now, they have one Senior All-Girl (10-18) team. Their goal is to grow the team into several, ranging from Minis to 18+.
They are still looking to fill some spots for the 2012-2013 season! Please email powerelitecheer@gmail.com if you are interested or for more details. Please note that they will only be taking competitive athletes until September 30. Training athletes will be accepted until October 30. They look forward to hearing from you!

	AERIALS ELITE CHEER Aerials Elite Cheer is now starting fall programs for girls aged 6-18 yrs old. We practice out of Fantastic Gymnastics Club located at 1-55 Henlow Bay.
